I started my tenure-track job as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Fall 2024. Please see my new lab website: healthybalancelab.com
I aim to use my research to make work-life balance more feasible and healthier for everyone. I draw from training in occupational health psychology and psychoneuroimmunology to study how experiences with work and family can affect psychological and physiological indicators of stress. I am particularly interested in how positive experiences can build resilience to stress.
My research is guided by the following questions:
- How do we physiologically “take work home with us”? How can work stress dysregulate our bodies?
- How do the psychological highs and lows from work and family operate in tandem to affect our health?
- How can positive experiences with work and family build resilience to stress?
- How can we stay healthy while managing rich, rewarding work and family lives?
